On May 8, 2024 at 2:59 PM ET, Alliance Entertainment Holding (AENT) saw a gain of 14%, making it one of the top gainers for the day. Motorsport Games (MSGM) also saw a significant increase of 13%, while Shenandoah Telecommunications Co. (SHEN) and GameSquare Holdings (GAME) both experienced a 10% increase in their stock prices. Nextdoor Holdings (KIND) rounded out the list of gainers with a 9% increase.
On the other hand, Integral Ad Science Holding (IAS) was one of the biggest losers of the day with a decrease of 17% in their stock price. Crexendo (CXDO) followed closely behind with a 15% decrease, while MediaAlpha (MAX) and Beachbody Company (BODI) both saw a 9% decrease in their stock prices.
Overall, the S&P 500 Communication Services sector experienced a slight decrease of 0.08%, closing at $291.91. Telecommunication Services, however, saw an increase of 0.4%, while Media & Entertainment experienced a slight decrease of 0.1%.
