XRP sinks as Ripple moves 200 million tokens, inviting community suspicion

XRP’s price dropped by 4% on Friday after Ripple moved 200 million XRP tokens to an unknown wallet. This move led to speculation within the crypto community that Ripple may be considering abandoning its native token. Ripple’s CTO, David Schwartz, clarified that the move was not indicative of such plans, stating it was just a fictional pitch for a movie. The sale of XRP tokens also resulted in other large transfers to unknown wallets from Binance. Despite this, Ripple continues to announce new partnerships as it prepares for its stablecoin launch. Recent partnerships include collaborations with Zoniqx and Clear Junction to enhance services on the XRP Ledger.
