The South Korean Customs Service has attributed a recent drug smuggling bust to the use of cryptocurrencies. A whopping 769kg of drugs were seized in the operation. The Customs Service believes that the anonymity and untraceability of cryptocurrencies facilitated the illegal activity. This incident highlights the challenges that authorities face in combating illegal activities that utilize digital currencies.
