Global, federal commitments to bolster energy supply chain cybersecurity detailed
Cybersecurity threats targeting the energy supply chain have led the U.S. and other Group of Seven countries to work on a cybersecurity framework for operational technologies used in managing oil, electricity, and natural gas systems worldwide. G7 leaders have also committed to promoting cyber-safe Internet of Things products in the energy sector. The U.S. Energy Department has introduced new Supply Chain Cybersecurity Principles to enhance energy automation and industrial control system security, with support from various companies like Schneider Electric, Hitachi Energy, and Siemens.
