Communication services shares were strong on Friday, with Google parent company Alphabet leading the way in the technology sector.
Telegraph Deputy Editor Robert Winnett has decided not to join the Washington Post as its top editor, following scrutiny over his past journalistic tactics in the U.K. Washington Post Chief Executive William Lewis announced the change and stated that the publication will begin a thorough search for a new editor. The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com.
