S Jaishankar nails Justin Trudeau lies over Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing | Latest News India

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has criticized the Justin Trudeau government for accusing India of involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia in June 2023. Three individuals have been arrested for Nijjar’s murder, which appears to be related to gang warfare.

The Modi government has been accused by Prime Minister Trudeau in Parliament without any evidence provided. Jaishankar stated that the drama surrounding Nijjar’s killing is internal minority vote bank politics in Canada, where Trudeau’s minority government is supported by the Khalistan-linked New Democratic Party.

India has requested the extradition of 25 individuals from Canada, including terrorists, gangsters, and Khalistani extremists. However, there has been no response from the Canadian government. These individuals are allegedly running extortion and targeted killing operations in north India.

The Trudeau government’s reluctance to take action on India’s extradition requests is seen as an attempt to secure radical votes from the Khalistani community. The list of individuals sought for extradition includes a mix of gangsters, terrorists, and extremists from various regions in Punjab.
