HCLTech has announced plans to expand its partnership with HPE in the telecom services market. The company will acquire certain assets from Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Communications Technology Group (CTG), including intellectual property, engineering and R&D talent, and client relationships with global Communication Service Providers (CSPs). This move will enhance HCLTech’s service offerings in areas such as Business Support Systems, network applications, service cloudification, and data intelligence. Meanwhile, HPE will retain its CTG business focused on Operations Support Systems. The transaction is expected to close in 6 to 9 months, pending regulatory approvals.
