Ripple and Meld Gold Partner to Pioneer RWA Integration on XRPL

Ripple and Meld Gold have teamed up to introduce Real World Assets (RWA) on XRP Ledger (XRPL), aiming to provide secure and efficient solutions for builders and businesses. This collaboration is set to bring greater transparency by holding metals accountable for their location in Q3.

The integration of Real-World Assets into XRP Ledger will offer institutional-grade functionality and built-in features, enabling secure and scalable financial services and use cases. Businesses and developers will have the opportunity to build on XRPL while providing utilities for users to interact with RWAs.

In the upcoming quarter, Meld Gold will deliver fungible gold and silver assets on XRPL, with each token representing 1g of precious metals from industry leaders such as MKS Pamp and Imperial Vaults. This partnership will also introduce a range of assets on-chain, enhancing transparency and accountability for the metals held.

Meld Gold CEO Michael Cotton expressed excitement about the RWA revolution, highlighting their expertise in disrupting and advancing digital ownership. The collaboration between Meld Gold and XRPL is expected to accelerate the growth of the XRPL DeFi ecosystem, offering the world’s largest-cap assets on-chain.

Blockchain technology has enabled immediate global accessibility, secure ownership accountability, and standardized data rail for interoperability. XRPL, known for its reliability in tokenization and exchanging of crypto native and RWA, is trusted by visionary builders and businesses worldwide.

The integration of Meld Gold and XRPL is predicted to have a positive impact on the price of XRP, which currently trades at $0.49. This development signifies a significant step towards bringing real-world assets onto the blockchain, enhancing trust and efficiency in the digital ownership space.
