The Indonesian Ministry of Industry recently supported national medical equipment companies in participating in the Expomed Eurasia 2024 event in Turkey. This move aimed to showcase the potential of the Indonesian medical equipment industry to European markets, with a focus on penetrating the European market through Turkey. The Industry Ministry’s presence at the event was part of a coordinated effort with the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara.
During the exhibition, Indonesia showcased products from the Indonesian Medical Equipment Manufacturers Association (ASPAKI) and the Association of Entrepreneurs of Medical and Laboratory Equipment, along with nine national medical equipment companies. The Industry Ministry expressed confidence that Indonesian medical equipment meets global standards in terms of quality and specifications, hoping for increased investment as a result of participating in Expomed Eurasia 2024.
The Director of Machinery and Agricultural Equipment at the Industry Ministry highlighted the importance of Indonesia’s participation in creating a conducive ecosystem for the medical equipment industry. The event, held at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, focused on showcasing healthcare-related equipment and services. Expomed Eurasia 2024 attracted around 26,000 visitors from 122 countries, with over 700 exhibitors participating in the fair.
The Industry Ministry sees Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition as a stepping stone towards establishing collaborations with international partners. Overall, the ministry’s involvement in Expomed Eurasia 2024 is expected to open up opportunities for the Indonesian medical equipment industry to expand its presence in the international market.
