China’s United Imaging Healthcare strengthens partnership with MedikaBazaar for Indian market leadership

India holds a key position in United Imaging’s global business strategy. Recently, United Imaging, a prominent healthcare innovation company based in China, met with Indian startup MedikaBazaar in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to strengthen their partnership. With over 300 installations in India in the past four years, both teams are working towards becoming market leaders in the country.

India is a vital market for United Imaging, as the country’s population of 1.5 billion presents a significant demand for advanced healthcare solutions. Dr. Jusong Xia, President of International Business at United Imaging Healthcare, highlighted the high growth potential in India over the next five to ten years.

MedikaBazaar, known as India’s largest B2B e-commerce marketplace for medical supplies, has been committed to providing healthcare procurement solutions. The meeting between the two companies resulted in a decision to enhance their partnership and strive for the top position in the market by 2025 and 2026.

Vivek Tiwari, Founder and CEO of MedikaBazaar, emphasized the competitiveness and price sensitivity of the Indian healthcare market. He expressed the importance of bridging the gap in the market by working closely with United Imaging to make healthcare solutions more accessible to the people.

Dr. Jusong Xia highlighted United Imaging’s innovative products, including the world’s first total-body PET/CT uEXPLORER and other groundbreaking healthcare technologies. These products are set to be introduced in India, further strengthening the partnership between United Imaging and MedikaBazaar.
